With the Independence Day holiday coming up, I thought I'd do something for the cookout crowd. If you have family or guests who don't eat red meat, this would be a great alternative to offering them a veggie burger off the grill. These burgers are juicy, packed full of flavor thanks to the Ranch seasoning, and are almost as easy to put together as a regular ground beef patty. You can even make them gluten-free if you choose. So why not add them to your menu this year?

In a large bowl, combine all ingredients. Using hands, mix together until thoroughly blended.
Use an ice cream scoop to measure out 8 equal portions of approximately 4-5 ounces each. Form into patties, making them as thick or thin as desired.
Pan Frying: Heat a small amount of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place the patties in the skillet, being careful not to crowd them (cook in batches if needed). Cook for 6-8 minutes per side, depending on thickness. Remove and let rest 5 minutes before serving.
Grill: Because the patties are more fragile, make a tray on the grill using aluminum foil and cook the patties on the tray; this will prevent them from falling through the grating. Cook 6-8 minutes per side depending on thickness. Remove and let rest 5 minutes before serving.
